On January 31st the Prince William Chapter of CBN was blessed to hear a fascinating presentation from Kathleen Pablo of the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial. We learned of the sacrifices of women whose efforts resulted in the 19th amendment securing the women's right to vote in the US. Much of the action happened right nearby at what is now Lorton.
Kathleen is a historian and parishioner at St. Mary of Sorrows in Fairfax.
Turning Point is working for fundraising to complete the memorial For more information go to www.suffragistmemorial.org.
Tim Mayer of Mayer Financial Services has joined the CBN Prince William Chapter Board as Treasurer. Tim is an advisor on insurance, and retirement planning, especially for business owners. Tim is a long-time member of CBN-PW and he and his family are parishioners at All Saints Church in Manassas. We welcome Tim and thank him for volunteering.
